President Bush (I support him)

1. Taking the war to the enemy! Not afraid to do what's needed to win the war on Terror.
2. Turning the economy around.
3. Able to put what's best for the country ahead of what's best for his poll results.

Kerry (I don't support him)

1. Voted in favor of using force in Iraq (Too bad he changed his mind when the going got tuff.)
2. Against Gay Marriage (Although he's afraid to take a real stand on it. Sitting on the fence so it doesn't effect him in the polls.)
3. Voted for the increased FCC fines <http://myspinzone.randomdrivel.com/displayarticle260.html> to crack down on indecent antics on broadcast radio and television. (OK I lied, I don't really like this, just couldn't think of a third thing I liked... Sorry, I really tried...)
President Bush

Pro - -
1. He's not afraid to do what's needed to win the war on Terror.

Con -
1. He doesn't know what's needed to win the war on terror. He has intentionally "confused" his dad's former enemy (Iraq) with the "terrorists." Whether Sadham was a "baddie" or not, Iraq was a legitimate sovereign nation and we attacked it without provocation and without justification. This is an unsound foreign policy that may come back to haunt us in the future. The invasion and occupation of Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror and has actually served as a catalyst to increase the actual threat to America.

Pro --
2. Turning the economy around.

Con -
2. He turned it in the wrong direction.

Pro - -
3. He doesn't appear concerned with his poll results

Con --
3. His poll results are sliding fast (okay -- that one may actually be a "pro" for me.)

John F. Kerry

Con -
1. He's a bit wooden

Pro -
1. Many people will be able to look past this based solely on his opponent. Moreover, as a bigger “pro,” he picked as his running mate, John Edwards, who is anything but wooden. He may be the most charismatic candidate ever.

Con -
2. He may be viewed as contradicting himself because he voted for a resolution granting broad powers the President and authorizing him to go to war if necessary and then voted against a bill approving an addition $87 Billion to fund the war

Pro -
2. While he voted for a resolution granting broad powers the President and authorizing him to go to war if necessary, this was based on the President’s promise to Congress that he would only go to war if necessary and that he would first get support for the international community. The President didn't keep his promises. In addition, the informed voter will know that Kerry supported measures to fund the troops, just not the $87 Billion package offered by Bush. The informed voter will know that Kerry supported the troops and did not call for their withdrawal from Iraq. The informed voter will know that Bush tried to push through bills that would cut benefits to veterans. The informed voters won't like the fact that Bush tried to secretly push through bills that would cut overtime pay for hundreds of thousands of servicemen serving in the Armed forces.

Con -
3. He took the GOP's bait and aired his views on gay marriage - a red herring issue.

Pro -
3. Congress killed the proposed amendment. Republicans voted against it. Cheney's daughter is a lesbian and his wife openly supports gay marriage. The herring is dead.
